Iliad Al-Khaded was born in Morocco in July 1998. At the age of eight, he had to work on the street to support his mother and six year old brother who both suffered from an unknown illness. Because of the bad economy, the family could not seek medical care and after a period of time both his mother and brother past away from the illness. Iliad had to go to live with his alcoholic father who often abused him which can be testified by the scars on his head. His father and his new wife did not care much about Iliad who eventually both threw out Iliad on the street.

After a period all alone on the streets of his village Gni Gmil, he managed to make his way further to city of Tanger where he continued to make a living on the street. That's when the dream of another better life was born. After six months, he had gathered enough money to make it all the way to Europe through a very risky journey via Lampedusa. He finally managed to do so and arrived to a cold Stockholm winter 2013.
