Between Tides - boken

Ni behöver alltså inte betala in något just nu.

Tack!

Interview on Podrom

I recently got interviewed by the new Swedish online magazine Podrom about my project Starkare Röst. The magazine is a venture from Göteborgs Räddningsmission that will be focusing on EU migrant’s situation in Sweden. The interview was made during the first exhibition in Gothenburg Culture Festival which was held a week in august this year. See the full interview here.
The project Starkare Röst is planed to be exhibited in several spots around Sweden. More information on specific exhibition locations will be posted along the way. Also, if you or/and your organization of any sort is interested to display the exhibition, please don’t hesitate to send an email with your request.

Interpreter/translator in Mozambique

I’m currently planing, together with a journalist colleague, to head down to Mozambique in what looks like beginning of December. We will be working on and covering several stories in and around Maputo. We are therefore looking for an interpreter/translator with good connections and knowledge. If you happen to know anybody experienced in this field, please don’t hesitate to forward this request to the person.

You can also send an email to [email protected].
Thank you!

Students from Photography School of Gothenburg on visit.

Had the pleasure today of having the students from Photography School of Gothenburg to visit us in the office studio during their field trip in Stockholm. Both Eric Claesson and I have examined from the same 2 year education as the students have just started. We held some kind of a mellow lecture/presentation/slide show thing with questions and discussions about our experiences and creating jobb opportunities. We hope to have inspired at least some of them and gave a decent image of what reality looks like. The lecture can be summarized to this simple fact - if you believe in it and work hard enough, then you’ll get where you want to go. As simple as that.

Photo story - Iliad

The story about Iliad was published on Saturday in the lokal newspaper ETC Stockholm. For those of you who can’t get the actually papper, you get to see it here in a digital version.

Also, the full story will be updated and visible on my portfolio in the upcoming week.

FRAMED III” at Galleri Kontrast

My work (top center) from “Between Tides” will be featured during the upcoming group exhibition “FRAMED III” at Galleri Kontrast showcasing more than 50 swedish photographers. It is truly an honor and quite overwhelming to be exhibited along with 50 other photographers containing several of the top swedish names such as Pieter ten Hoopen, Jens Assur, Lars Tunbjörk and Anders Petersen. The exhibition will open officially this saturday October 4 and displayed until 2 November, 2014. I sure highly recommend you to go and see it if you are in Stockholm!

Other works appearing in the image are (from left): Anna Clarén, Vilhelm Stokstad and Sanna Sjöswärd.

Election night - Feministiskt Initiativ

Sunday 14th september was election day in Sweden. Its been very tense for many parties, specially for Feministiskt initiativ which has been just on the line to make it into the swedish parliament. I had in assignment along with a reporter to cover the election night watch-over for Feministiskt initiativ. Unfortunately they did not make it this time as they did not receive 4% of the votes, which is the least amount of procent required to get into the parliament. Although, the spirit was kept up high and parti leader Gudrun Schyman said in a statement that the parti is righting history and that they are far from being defeated.

Latest publications

Thought that I would post some tear sheets for the latest publications from the past few months. It’s been mostly assignments for the newspaper & magazine ETC with interviews and a few reportage. There will be more posts from the lastest publications coming up in the following days.
